Girl bosses behind our fave ethical edit accessories brands

In light of International Women's Day on the 8th of March, we're celebrating some of the incredible women behind some of our favourite brands, and how they are inspiring us through their work in the fashion industry, prioritising ethical and sustainable manufacturing. These women are championing the industry, to strive for better standards - looking after the makers and mother nature.

Vashity, of Vash

"Vash has always maintained a strong philosophy of sustainability in the creation of our beautiful products. Striking the right balance between premium products and sustainable resources is one that I have worked hard at since day one and is essential to our brand identity." - Vashity, (founder)

Vash bags are ethically handmade with materials that are by-products of the economic food industry, and sourced in Cape Town, Kwazulu Natal South Africa, Namibia and Swaziland. A small group of woman and men assemble our creations each day by hand.

Claire, of Make Give Live

"As a Social Enterprise, we knit hats that we sell. For every hat that we sell we donate another one to someone in need in New Zealand. Being part of a Make Give Live group is like having a second family, we knit but we also nurture our own mental health and wellbeing.- Claire, (founder)

Zoe, of Caja Jewellery

Ethically handmade jewellery inspired by the world and everything in between. Born out of love for sentimental treasures, Caja takes inspiration from the beauty of travel and unknown adventures. Each piece is designed with intention, unique heirlooms for you and your journey.

Working from her sunny home studio in Waihi Beach, New Zealand, Zoë designs and handcrafts each new piece. She then works closely with a small team of artisan jewellers in beautiful Bali to ethically produce her collections.

Tania, of Audrey Loves Ruby

"I have been designing and making jewellery for about 10 years, I was lucky enough to have been trained privately by a tutor who learnt her craft in London, and also by an extremely talented artist/jeweller here in Auckland. - Tania (founder)

All her pieces are handmade by herself, in Auckland
