Last (but not least) Ubud & Uluwatu! This is the third blog of our Bali series (one being on Canggu, two being on Seminyak). I have to say it was a nice change to get a change of scenery and out of the hustle and bustle of things in Seminyak and Canggu, into a more relaxed vibe in Uluwatu in particular.
A few of our fave things we did there include...
Visiting the Monkey Forest in Ubud
This was a fun little outing to get into some nature and do something a little bit different. Watch out because those cheeky things will come out of nowhere (literally) and give you the fright of your life.
Lounging poolside at Folk in Ubud
Thanks to Lucy's cute (and slightly scary) habit of wandering off, she stumbled into this gorgeous poolside bar, with bean bags and loungers galore! It's fairly hidden but as you walk up the main street, when you see a cute alleyway on the left, follow the hanging greenery until you see the bar. We were super hot from walking the streets, so this was just the oasis we needed, so I absolutely recommend checking it out.
While you're exploring, never be afraid to pop in to check out any gorgeous hotels you spot (even if you're not staying there), that's often where we find the coolest decor (or in this case, a tropical forest like wall of greenery that caught our eye).
A day at the Sundays Beach Club, Uluwatu
We'd heard amazing things about the Sundays Beach Club, but we truly were in paradise when we arrived at the resort connected to the beach club and were welcomed with incredibly friendly Balinese, who led us down to the beach club.
As soon as you arrive, you feel like you're in heaven with the beach lined with bean bags and umbrellas, with a restaurant to the left. We stayed for lunch and chilled out to enjoy the final part of our holiday. It was probably the favourite day of our entire trip!
