'Best of Bali' series (Seminyak)

Why hello there! Part 2 of our 'Best of Bali' blog series is about our favourite spots in Seminyak, which is about a 20 minute drive along from Canggu. Whilst Seminyak wasn't our favourite place compared to the relaxed vibe of Canggu, it definitely did have some amazing places to visit, so is worth checking out even if you're not staying in the area.

1. Potato Head Beach Club

Potato Head Beach Club is another eatery and bar with table seating, a lawn to lie on, deck chairs, and a pool right on the edge of the beach, so a great view of the ocean. The decor is awesome, and the menu is even better. This is a fab place to park up for the day if you're not in the mood to explore and hop from one place to another because it has everything you need!

 2. Bambu Restaurant

While we were away, we celebrated Lucy's 21st birthday, which meant finding a nice restaurant - and all of our reccomendations led us to the beautiful, Balinese Bambu. Serving modern and traditional Balinese food, Bambu is set among a pool of water, with gorgeous greenery engulfing the space.

Dessert was delish - our favourite being the sweet crumbed sticky rice balls with homemade icecream.

3. Mano Beach Club

We stumbled across Mano on our final day in Bali, and were in absolute heaven. The island furnishing and relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we were craving after a busy trip so far. This isn't your typical beach club in Bali, with a much more low key vibe, and (in my opinion) the best smoothies in Bali. If you love PB and coffee - you've got to try their 'Kickstarter Smoothie', it's the bomb.

4. La Plancha

La Plancha is hard to miss - just look for the colourful umbrellas on the main beach! Part of the La Brisa/La Laguna family mentioned in the Canggu blog post, La Plancha is a more affordable and relaxed member of their family of eateries, perfect for a sunset drink or casual dinner.

Bella, Lucy, Ruby, myself and Jono, nestled into our bean bags for our last night in Bali.

As the sun goes down, the setting just gets better and better at La Plancha!

Other places we visited and loved but aren't featured here include

- Kimsoo (gorgeous homewares store, and a cafe)

- Motel Mexicola (fun restaurant/bar with great music)

Woo Bar at The W Hotel

- La Luciola (a great restaurant that sits right on the main beach)

Happy Bali exploring!
