72 hours in Sicily, Italy

Ahhh Sicily. Oh how we adore you! We (Chrissy, Lucy and Bella) were lucky enough to get 3 days in Sicily during a trip to visit Lucy in her new home, London!

Here are a few of our favourite things about Sicily...

Beaches - We are so drawn to the water, which is why we loved Sicily as much as we did! Being a small island, it has hundreds of beaches dotted along the coast, so it's not hard to get a dip in the gorgeous Mediterranean sea. As we were there in July, it got hot by 9am so we took the opportunity to have as many swims as pos, the water was so lovely!

Food markets - Wandering the food markets in Palermo was amazing! They have so many different types of street food that you've got to try. The other bonus is being able to try the best sun dried tomatoes, olives and more deliciousness!

Beach clubs - We were pleasantly surprised to have found an amazing beach club right near our Air bnb which we wandered down to on our last night. If you're ever in Sicily, you should visit the sleepy town called Sferracavallo - and go to 'Baia Del Calloro' , it's a beautiful spot at sunset with delicious cocktails.

Erice - Erice is in the provence of Trapani, and is a historic town, that is incredibly quaint. The buildings are super charming, and the town is perfect to walk around by foot. We stopped for a granita, which is like a sorbet drink that Sicilians are known for.

Trapani's old town - At the very end of the city in Trapani, are small walking only cobbled streets with cute cafes and quaint architecture. It's great for seeing gorgeous gardens and small shops.

As usual, Italy stole our hearts! Sleepy Sicily was a relaxed place with gorgeous countryside and gorgeous people, giving us a bit of 'la dolce vita'.
